Cheryl's China guides
Cuandixia
Cuandixia is one of my favorite places to go for a day trip. You can read about why I like Cuandixia so much in the day trips section of this website.
Anyway, I liked Cuandixia so much that I wrote a guide about it. This guide, Cuandixia: an ancient mountain village in China, is about the most extensive information that you’ll find anywhere on the village.
Jean Ash, who conducts tours to China, recommends my Cuandixia guide: “It’s not easy for the average traveler to China to find such a lovely village so close to the capital, which like most of the cities on the usual tourist itinerary, is highly modernized. This guide tells exactly how to get there and why it’s a must-see.”
Cuandixia: an ancient mountain village in China is available only as a downloadable PDF ebook or for Kindle readers. The GuideGecko PDF version also works on Kindles, or you can get a photoless version from the Amazon Kindle store for the United States or United Kingdom, as well as Kindle stores for Germany, France, Italy and Spain.

China Travel Tips
This is a book about — what else — tips for travelers to China. I combed through all my China guides and other articles I’ve written on China and compiled them into one book, China Travel Tips. If you like the tips scattered throughout this website, you'll love China Travel Tips.
China Travel Tips is available only as an ebook on Amazon Kindle, including the United States and United Kingdom. It is my best selling ebook.

Tours4Mobile
If you never leave home without your Iphone, Ipad or other mobile device, then one of the tours I did for Tours4Mobile.comcould be just what you’re looking for.
These tours can be downloaded to your mobile device anywhere you can get an Internet connection, or to your computer before you leave.
I’ve done nine tours for T4M, all but two of them on Beijing. Each tour is about 3,500 words long with 60 to 70 photographs.
The first two are my most popular sellers:

I’ve done nine tours for T4M, all but two of them on Beijing. Each tour is about 3,500 words long with 60 to 70 photographs.
The first two are my most popular sellers:
- China’s Great Wall: walking on history which visits several sites on the Great Wall, probably the number one attraction visitors to the Middle Kingdom want to see.
- Imperial Beijing: Tiananmen, Forbidden City, Jingshan. This walking tour starts at the south end of Tiananmen Square, moves north to the Forbidden City and ends at Jingshan Park with a climb up Coal Hill for a view overlooking the Forbidden City.
- Cuandixia: China’s village that time forgot which was the inspiration for my ebook, Cuandixia: an ancient mountain village in China.
- Beijing for kids, a tour which resulted in the much-expanded Parents Guide to Beijing.
- A walk through Beijing’s past which covers Beihai Park, Beijing’s most popular park that was once an imperial playground, and the hutongs, Beijing’s unique housing that is fast disappearing.
- Western Beijing: boats, blooms and boots is a tour that takes in the Summer Palace with its marble boat, the Beijing Botanical Gardens and Fragrant Hills Park for a hike in the mountains.
- Beijing: finding peace and quiet is a list of places you can visit when you’re overwhelmed by the crowds at the most popular tourist attractions.
